Hi, I’m Louise! 👋
I’m the Manager at Charnwood Nursery & Pre-school Rothley, and I’ve been part of the Charnwood family since I was 17 years old. Over the past 14 years, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside the nursery, developing both personally and professionally into the role I absolutely love today.
During my time at Charnwood, I completed my Master’s Degree in Integrated Working with Children and their Families in the Early Years. The knowledge and experience I’ve gained continues to shape the care, support and opportunities we provide for every child who walks through our doors.
I’m incredibly passionate about giving children the very best start in life. The early years are such an important time, and it’s a privilege to play a small part in helping children grow in confidence, develop new skills and discover a love of learning every single day.
A particular passion of mine is supporting children with Special Educational Needs. I believe every child deserves to feel valued, included and able to thrive in an environment where they are understood, celebrated and supported to reach their full potential. Creating that nurturing, inclusive environment is something our whole team works hard to achieve every day.

Do you offer Forest School or outdoor learning?
Outdoor learning is a fundamental part of life at CNPG. Children enjoy regular access to outdoor environments where they can explore, take appropriate risks, solve problems, build resilience and develop a connection with nature. Our Forest School programme provides opportunities for children to learn through real-world experiences including den building, tool use, fire safety, nature exploration and environmental stewardship. Forest School experiences are available across the group, with dedicated sessions delivered by qualified Forest School practitioners.
Any parent communication apps or systems?
We use Famly to keep parents informed and connected to their child's nursery experience. Parents can access updates, observations, photographs, messages and important information through the app. We also communicate through newsletters, nursery updates, parent meetings and regular conversations to ensure strong partnerships between home and nursery.
