Meet Our Nursery Manager

‘Hello, I’m Abigail, Nursery Manager, and I have had the pleasure of being part of our nursery family for the past 18 years. My journey began as a Playworker, and over the years I have been fortunate to progress through a variety of roles, each one strengthening my passion for early years education and helping to shape the leader I am today.

Alongside my experience in practice, I have completed my teacher training and achieved a Master’s degree in Education. I am passionate about ensuring that our nursery provides the very best experiences for every child, using current research and reflective practice to continually enhance the quality of our provision.

One of my greatest interests is literacy and the incredible impact it has on children’s learning and development. I love creating opportunities for children to develop a lifelong love of books, stories, language, and communication. Although my role as Manager keeps me busy, I particularly enjoy spending time in our Foundation Unit, where I can support children, work alongside our dedicated team, and celebrate the exciting milestones that make early years so rewarding.

I believe in being a forward-thinking, approachable, and reflective leader who is always striving to improve. Supporting my team, building strong relationships with families, and creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn are at the heart of everything I do.

It is a privilege to lead such a wonderful nursery, and I am incredibly proud of the caring, ambitious team we have built together. My commitment is simple: to ensure every child receives the highest quality care and education, giving them the confidence, curiosity, and foundations they need to flourish both now and in the future.

Outdoor learning is a fundamental part of life at CNPG. Children enjoy regular access to outdoor environments where they can explore, take appropriate risks, solve problems, build resilience and develop a connection with nature. Our Forest School programme provides opportunities for children to learn through real-world experiences including den building, tool use, fire safety, nature exploration and environmental stewardship. Forest School experiences are available across the group, with dedicated sessions delivered by qualified Forest School practitioners.

We use Famly to keep parents informed and connected to their child's nursery experience. Parents can access updates, observations, photographs, messages and important information through the app. We also communicate through newsletters, nursery updates, parent meetings and regular conversations to ensure strong partnerships between home and nursery.
