My name is Sarah, and I am a parent of three children who are neurodivergent individuals. My parenting journey sparked my interest in working in Early Years and with those children who experience the world differently.
I started working at CNPG in September 2023 as a SEND & inclusion manager following nine years as a SENCO and leader of a small independent day nursery.
I am committed to ensuring that all children experience inclusivity and belonging in their early years. I work directly with the practitioners, nursery SENCOs and external professionals to support children.
With a passion for continual professional development, I have completed my Master’s in Early Years with a focus on inclusivity. I continue to develop and deliver training for practitioners and SENCOs within CNPG.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is about ensuring that the environment, teaching, resources and care support the unique child, in a neuro affirming way rather than seeing additional support needs as a personal deficit of the child.
I love spending time with my family and our dog. I am a lover of the outdoors, fashion, books, exercise and cake!
